Narcie Haven

Against what some would dub all common sense, there are people in this world who do enjoy a good hike through the wilderness. Some, perhaps preferring a cozy hotel room where they can play video games past midnight hours, believe this to be the hobbies of mad men. Those very same mad men would claim that to be amidst nature is to be right in the heart of the world and remember our true origins.

Personally, I find both opinions to be a tad extreme, although on opposite ends from one another. What cannot be denied is that there is a pleasant feeling that only comes with striding along dirt paths, letting the breeze go through your hair, and occasionally bashing down an aggravated voretooth or three. Not only does the Kelbass Grasslands offer such paths to admire with the nearby Aracheole Stronghold thankfully hidden past the trees and hills, but it offers something invaluable to such hikers: Narcie Haven.

There, a respite awaits them, whether they are simply perching along the rocks so that they may break from their walking and enjoy nature without having to enjoy voretooth bristles stuck in their clothing, or they have realized their journey has taken them far later than they intended.

The Duscaen bird population agrees with this assessment, if no one else shall, and so you will find their eggs, tucked away in the occasional boulder gathering. Word of warning, however, for another entity which shares in such views would be herds of Arba. While one could go right up to many Anak grazing in the hot Leide sun, Arba are nothing like their cousin here in Duscae. They have found quite a comfortable niche here amongst the grasslands, with just enough towering vegetation for them to devour and sunny patches of plain for them to lounge in. To anyone who so much as steps on a twig wrong in their immediate vicinity, they can become quite testy.

In the spirit of enjoying nature in its wonderful simple purity, the recipe I suggest while staying at Narcie is simple in turn. A croque madame first thing in the morning, listening to the cries of arba, does something wonderful for the mood with which you will start the day.

womenwantme: Chasing off arba from the camp sight is fun, I don't know what evereyone else complaining about. The trails aren't too expansive or anything but they're fairly fun for a light afternoon's workout. Get good, I guess. ★★★★✩
