Killiam Haven
Some tourist destinations are known for their stunning beauty, or historical significance. Others are places to get items and food which one cannot find elsewhere. And then, finally, others are gotten because the tragedy there is so significant that it still beckons our attention even now. Fociaugh Hollow, with its tales of mystery and loss, is one such example of this. Although it was long ago sealed thanks to the efforts of Sylva Via Fleuret, that has not stopped many a curious traveler from taking that hike up Malacchi Hills to take a look at the pile of rocks which once opened down into that dim grotto.
I suppose it is in human nature. We seek forever to understand tragedy, where it springs from and where it looks like, amongst other things, and so we venture towards it just for that one glimpse.
Alternatively, of course, the hike up into the Malacchi Hills is an incredibly beautiful one, with the ruins of a once noble civilization scattered about all over, so any nature lover would be sure to desire a glance at it all so long as they're capable of batting away voretooth packs. Whatever the reason one has for delving into Malacchi Hills, one thing is certain, and it is that Killiam Haven is right there waiting for easy access for travelers of all sorts. In fact, not only is Killiam nearby, but it is in fact right there along the dirt path which guides one straight up to the Hollow and all the ruins surrounding it.
I must admit that Killiam does take a bit of climbing to get onto, with the way that it juts out from the hillside, and yet it is thanks to such a nature that one can get a unique sort of feeling which only Killiam can offer. There on the hill, it allows one the rather satisfying sensation of being right there in the middle of the trees, looking far down the hill.
Throughout all of my travels, I have found it is a rare Haven which does not offer a kind of refreshing sensation while you sit upon its ledge overlooking the world and eating your breakfast. Yet Killiam's serenity is something that must be experienced to truly understand it. I hope that for anyone who passes through the Nebulawood and Malacchi area, they get to have that experience for themselves.
UPDATE: Since I wrote this review, one of the natural storms which has recently been sweeping through Duscae became far larger than any could have anticipated, and lightning strikes fell upon the entrance to Fociaugh Hollow. This managed to decimate the rocks which have guarded the entrance for some decades, allowing free entrance within. However, as could only be expected thanks to the tales we have all been told before, it is full of daemons, along with extremely cramped spaces and steep cliffs which could both spell the end for one even if they were somehow successful against any imps and hobgoblins resting within. I do not recommend venturing inside, and instead suggest that people keep their sightseeing restricted to outdoors.
Regardless, there is little doubt in my mind that this means Killiam Haven will soon begin welcoming a good deal of Hunters coming to rest upon its ledge in response to future daemon extermination work. In that case, only for trusted professionals will I recommend this dish with fresh ingredients - that is to say, the allural shallot which appears to grow in quite plentiful supply down within the Hollow.
For such a fine bit of green, it's only proper to make a green curry soup. This will require getting some chickatrice legs and sweet peppers in advance, of course, along with having a talent for cooking in the first place (or a good recipe to follow strictly). Allural shallots are not the easiest of ingredient to work with at times, admittedly, and yet for those who succeed, green curry will fill their stomachs with a nice soft heat and a mild spice that that will not chase off the less adventurous.

fishfearme: yeah the snake talks. ★✩✩✩✩
chocobro: idt my city boy legs were meant for going up a hill this steep.... but that serene air talked about here is no joke srsly ★★✩✩✩
womenwantme: Honestly, with all the complaining that some people do, maybe a couple of laps up and down the hill from the road to Killiam would do you some good. It's not even that far, and going through the Hollow is a good exercise in putting up with dark tight places and restricted combat. ★★★★✩
